What do I do if I plan to replace my phone? (Read This First!)

Before you replace your phone, you must make some changes to your account to ensure you are ready to set up MFA on your new device.

Step 1 - Remove your old device.

Visit https://aka.ms/mysecurity, sign in, and delete your old phone from the list before you reset/sell/replace it. This can be done in the "Security info" section.

Step 2 - Set up your new device.

If you're at a school or office with access to an EIPS-connected computer:
a. If you already have the Authenticator app installed on your new phone, open it and ensure there are no @eips.ca accounts shown.
    If there are, tap on the account, tap the settings gear in the top-right corner, and tap Remove account. If prompted, tap this app only.
b. Follow the video above ("...EIPS School or Office") to setup Authenticator on your new phone.

If you're not:
a. If you already have the Authenticator app installed on your new phone, open it and ensure there are no @eips.ca accounts shown.
    If there are, tap on the account, tap the settings gear in the top-right corner, and tap Remove account. If prompted, tap this app only.
b. Send an email to the EIPS IT Help Desk (contact button is at the bottom of this site) requesting assistance with MFA.
    (You can use your personal email address for this if you are not able to access your EIPS email)

Once IT has verified your identity, you will receive an email with MFA setup instructions. Follow the instructions very carefully!

Please contact the IT Help Desk immediately for assistance.
